The objective of an Art Wars event as a whole is to bring people together, to create an experience through an active environment that gives an inside look to the pursuit of art, provide a catalyst for conversation to what makes us do the things we do and why, and most importantly, to raise awareness and support the visual and performing arts in education. Two artists create a collaborative piece on 100 square foot panels within view of an audience while two musicians play on either side of the piece. All this takes place within an hour. Afterward, the 100 panels will be distributed to the audience for a purchase as so they can take ownership in the experince. Variations of this approach are often considered as well. |
