Event Description Join glass artist Debbie Solan for an exploration of fusible glass. Our ongoing LNO series which takes place the 2nd Wednesday of each month. From 6.30pm to 9.00pm. In June we'll use opaque and translucent sheet glass, frits, stringers and confetti to create unique 5 x 5" glass tile to hang, frame or install. You must pre-register to attend. Please call the gallery at (619) 461 4440 This is a "pot-luck" event. Please feel free to bring a beverage or snack to share. Adult bev's ok.

Event Description Sutures: Stories with Seams presents just that- a body of fragments. Webb joins seemingly unrelated frames together in a diptych format where personal and anonymous meet. Tension emerges from our desire to unify the images. The intensity of the personal narrative comes through in feelings of fear and joy; disappointment and hope; longing, desire, and attainment. We feel this work, it affects us in a strange and unsettling way. Rather than turn from the scenes we find ourselves grasping for pieces, and longing to sew back together that which is torn.
