Opening Reception, Thursday, August 3, 2017 6PM to 9PM FREE EVENT but RSVP is required via (http://sparksgallery.com/exhibitions/exhibition-gallery-selections-2017-a-group-show) Exhibition on view August 3 - October 29, 2017 For “Gallery Selections 2017 / A Group Show”, each staff member at Sparks Gallery hand-selected 3 artists and their artworks to feature in this year’s new annual tradition. 15 artists were selected in total. Though vastly different in style and medium, the group exhibition will showcase over 30 pieces from a diverse, yet selective group of artists from Southern California. Exhibited Artists: Alexander Arshansky, Andrea Rushing, Anna Van Fleet, Duke Windsor, Gloria Muriel, Jeremy Sicile-Kira, Laura Ball, Leah Pantea, Manrabitt, Michelle D. Event Description

MESSAGES & MEMORIES Eligible Mediums: Do you use words, lettering, poetry, numbers, or symbols in your artwork? Or, have you painted a piece where the focus was either a place, person, or event? Any media and mediums, except installation pieces, that incorporate text or focuses on a memory is eligible. Photography and journal pages are also welcomed if prepared for hanging. How To Enter: Register below to pay the entry fee (we use Eventbrite tickets for enrollment) at any time then drop off art in-person during the submission dates. All artists juried into the show will be notified after the juror has made their decisions. Juror: Andrea Mota, Owner of Blue Azul Gallery. Entry fee: $35 (for 1-2 pieces) Submit art at gallery: August 3rd–12th Submission deadline: Saturday, August 12th by 4pm Reception: Saturday, August 19th at 6pm
