Event Description Aug 26 (Sat) | 9:30a-12:30p | Includes materials except small mat board fee | Instructor Dixon Fish | Save money & learn how to cut your own mats for ready-made frames! We'll talk about materials and equipment that make this task easier. Bring a small artwork on paper that you would like mated and framed. This is not a sponsored workshop. There will be a charge for mat board used, everything else will be provided. We will have scrap mat board at no cost. Full sheet of mat board is 32" x 40" and costs $12.

Event Description This one day class will connect you with a new way of seeing. Come engage three simple practices: “self observation”, “fair witness seeing” and “drawing with empathy”. Learn to see the world around you as an expression of your own awareness. By learning specifically what you need to look for in order to draw what you see, you will also appreciate your own unique point of view. Drawing as a Sacred Activity will help you feel more connected with the world around you as well as the world within you. Heather’s book, Drawing as a Sacred Activity will be available. Heather is an artist, author and teacher, who has engaged students throughout the world in the practice of drawing as a sacred activity. She believes in drawing for the purpose of connecting authentically with your world, honoring your unique point of view and learning to know who you are as consciousness.
