Event Description Become mesmerized by the precise application of thin lines of paint in the pinstriping demonstration by Manuel Cisneros at the June 14 Artists@Work program. Commonly used to decorate Lowrider cars and motorcycles pinstriping is a look at the custom car culture lifestyle reflected in OMA’s exhibition Cruisin’ Califas: The Art of Lowriding. Artists@Work is a creative happy hour that provides a rare opportunity for members and visitors to closely engage with artists and get a first-hand look at the creative process. While watching artworks come to life, guests will delight in delicious appetizers sponsored by Harney Sushi and Bull Taco and an open bar with wine and Lagunitas beer.

Event Description "Tuesday Nights" Artists' Group Plays with TRASH Recycle, Reuse, Recover, Reutilize, Recondition, Recontextualize Opening Reception is Thursday, June 14,2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday June 15-17,2012 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Ramona Town Hall, East Wing 729 Main Street Ramona, CA 92065 studio@helenwilsonartist.com 18 artists play with TRASH to create over 30 different pieces. Experience paper bags transformed into a jacket, hat and shoes or objects found along the road becoming a working kaleidoscope. Cat food cans, torn volley balls, blue painters tape and plastic swimsuit forms, change from their original use into the artists reinterpretation of these objects. Each piece has over 85% of reused materials, including threads, tape and glues.
