Event Description Glow-in-the-Park is an innovative summer evening of installation art that will transform Grape Day Park in Escondido into an art park featuring works of art illuminating the space with light and sound installations, inflatable art, and film as well as performance, environmental and water pieces. Glow-in-the Park takes place Saturday August 4th from 7pm - 11pm and is free for all ages. The event is being produced by the Escondido History Center in association with the Escondido Arts Partnership/Municipal Gallery. Glow-in-the-Park highlights the diversity of contemporary artists working in our region as well as introducing Grape Day Park to large scale installation art. Glow-in-the-Park will allow everyone to 'play' with hands-on interactive activities like Joey Chavez's glow blocks and Misty Cater Clark's glow in the dark hand print experience.

Event Description The Spot Gallery will host it's first Live Art Show "En Vivo" on August 4th at 6pm. Featuring six local Artists that all share a passion for creating works of enduring beauty. These six Artists all have very different technical styles ranging from abstract to hyper realistic. They have a unique and fresh way of looking at the world and translating their revelation onto canvas, wood, and whatever materials they find necessary to elucidate and illuminate their interpretation of reality. This event will give art lovers in San Diego the opportunity to meet the Artists in person and see their work up close.
