Oceanside Museum of Art has a long history of exhibiting fiber art that challenges traditional perceptions of the medium. We are proud to present our second exhibition of Quilt National. Quilt National is a biennial juried exhibition of international fiber art organized by the Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio. Work is submitted both from artists across the country and from interactional artists. OMA will be exhibiting 32 of the strongest, award-winning quilts from the Dairy Barn Arts Center for this 18th biennial exhibition. Jurors Linda Colsh (Everberg, Belgium), Judith Content (Palo Alto, CA) and Penny McMorris (Bowling Green, OH) studied images of over 850 works by artists from around the world.Exhibition artists include: Brooke Atherton, Susan Brooks, Peggy Brown, Rachel Brumer, Marianne Burr, Christine Chester, Sue Cunningham, Sheila Frampton-Cooper, Kate Gorman, Sandy Gregg, Leslie Hall, Judy Hooworth, Lisa Kijak, Paula Kovarik, Susan Lenz, Linda Levin, Denise Linet, |

This special 2014 exhibition was selected by the Encinitas Art Commission and is sponsored by the Encinitas Civic Arts Program. 17 dynamic and talented local artists will be displaying unique and exceptional pieces of numerous animal artworks, including very special 3D life-size animals in hopes of advocating awareness and support for the needs of housed animals at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Encinitas, CA.
For the young and old , the public will be delighted in viewing the artists favorite animals created in numerous mediums of oil, acrylic, silk painting, mosaic, photography and wood depicting the artists visions of the animal world. They will bring their animal world to the public in order to heighten awareness of the needs and support of animal care in the community. Appreciation is extended to all the participate
Quint Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of our summer group exhibition, HORIZON. The concept for this exhibition was to invite artists who have made works for the Murals of La Jolla project to recommend an artist they feel is underrepresented or emerging to be included in the exhibition, highlighting the work of artists who are admired by their established peers. This is the first exhibition of this kind at Quint Gallery. The opening reception on Saturday, July 26th from 6-8pm is open to the public and some of the artists will be in attendance.
