Event Description |
Grab a picnic, a blanket, and a few friends and come enjoy this film beneath the stars! The exhibitions Spanish Sojourns: Robert Henri and the Spirit of Spain and Sorolla and America focus on images inspired by journeys. Through their paintings both artists were able to transport viewers to locations that they might never experience themselves. Wim Wenders' Until the End of the World involves a journey to restore vision. This science-fiction film presents the tale of a scientist who has created a device that sends images directly to the brain and the story of his estranged son who is traveling the world using the device to collect images for his blind mother. (1991, Rated R for language and sensuality, 158 minutes)
This film is presented as part of Film in the Garden, the Museum's Monday night sundown film series in the May S. Marcy Sculpture Garden. The restaurant in the Sculpture Court will be open for all film screenings and offer light snacks and beverages, including a full bar. |
