The 2013 Juried Original Art Exhibition, held by the Museum of American Illustration at Society of Illustrators (NYC), is a showcase for children’s book illustrators, whose original artwork is rarely seen outside the studio. Tracing more than 40 colorful works, from the original paintings, drawings, prints and collages to the printed page, this collection lets us appreciate the best children’s illustrators in the field and the enormous creative range of children’s books. In addition, more than 10 noted Southern California illustrators and authors are also featured. |

INTO THE MATRIX is a collection of mixed-media collage works by artist Ginger Louise, whose metaphysical observations layer past and present imagery to map her personal journey from illness to health.
Ginger Louise began her art career as a painter and airbrush artist. Her work has been used by many contemporary musicians, which include: The Black Eyed Peas, Peaches, Jack Johnson, G Love etc…
She was one of the first San Diego artists to spark the body painting trend that is still going on today and in 2003 coordinated, Visual Graffiti, one of the first fashion trunk shows in San Diego. Several of the artists are still active today, True Delorenzo, Sean Dietrich, Johnny Tran (DJ and event coordinator/Thumbprint gallery owner), and many more.
