Event Description ArtHatch & Distinction Gallery are pleased to announce their 5th annual art exhibit devoted to hot rods and customs of distinction, "IMMORTALIZED: The One That Got Away", an art auction charity benefit featuring a group of nationally recognized artists. All Artworks will be auctioned off starting at only $100, with a portion of the proceeds going to Distinction's annual art scholarship donation for Palomar College students. Cars that will be on display have been invited by Chick Kosziz and Steve Waldron. This event is free to the public, but a suggested donation of $5 to benefit Cruisin' Grand would be appreciated. The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 6-9pm with Live Rockabilly Music. VIP Pre-Party tickets ($20) from 5-7pm include Stone Beer, wine & food from Vinz Wine Bar, treats from EscoGelato and conversation with the artists, sponsors and car owners. There will be awards for artists and also a Pinup contest so come dressed in your best vintage outfit!

Event Description August is really ARTragous at Friday Night Liberty on August 7th. Indulge your inner child and wonder at the Fern Street Circus; performing at 6:30pm the city’s finest circus and variety artists featuring live music, sets conceived and built by local artists, and a bi-lingual ringmaster. This month we celebrate the return of artist INOCENTE with a screening of an Academy Award winning documentary, a vibrant coming of age tale of a young, local artist’s fierce determination to thrive In the ARTS studios at NTC, no matter the bleakness of her home surroundings (suggested donation $5, starts at 7pm). Explore the art schools of Building 176 at Monart and the Farm School, don’t miss the music by Recreational Music Center. As usual Friday Night Liberty features numerous new exhibits at the Women’s Museum of CA, New Americans Museum, Visions Art Museum and Casa Valencia Galeria.
