Introduction to Acrylics is a 6-week workshop series that is paired with Open Paint Night. Each evening starts off with a half hour instruction session and is followed by individual mentored guidance while participants work on their own projects and body of work. Paint with other artists. Share resources. Support each other’s artistic endeavors. Artist Hang out.

All skill levels welcome.

Event Description

Party Lines: The History, Art, and Politics of Editorial Cartoons, highlights the work of Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonists and their contemporaries. The exhibition focuses on over five decades of cartoons created during presidential election years, from past races to 2016, through multiple perspectives, examining the art form as a conduit for awareness about political and social issues. Included in the exhibition are Patrick Oliphant, Herb Block, Jeff MacNelly, Steve Breen, Lisa Benson, Matt Wuerker, and SDSU Alumnus Lalo Alcaraz, among others.
