Event Description |
The annual Vista Fiber Arts Fiesta, hosted by the Palomar Hand Weavers Guild, is held at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum. Fiber artists, guilds, and vendors will be at the Fiesta showcasing their work, demonstrating their skills, and selling their creations, wearable art, tools and supplies. Weavers, basket makers, spinners, felters, knitters, and gourd artists will find many items of interest at this event.
A crowd favorite, the baby alpacas will be on display.
Visitors can tour the Weavers Barn with large display of working, and worked on, looms from the 1800s to modern computer-assisted looms. Weavers will be on hand to demonstrate and answer questions. Finished hand woven goods and rugs made by Guild members will be on sale in the barn, as well as looms, spinning wheels, equipment, books and yarns.
