Join artist Brian McQueen as he guides you through the process of painting your life story. A-la writer Natalie Goldberg, who uses self-expression to facilitate self-awareness, Brian will take you on a creative journey to help you discover who you are, and why you are here. When asked if the process of writing differs from that of a painter who seeks to better know her/himself, Goldberg responded, “It’s no different. Painting is my darling pleasure. … With a painting, I have to keep working the surface until I bring out, and fulfill, what wants to come out; and yes, I guess I do meet my own mind…” ** This is a 4-week course that allows time and space for a variety of modalities, including short journal writing and storyboarding activities. Event Description

Lovejoy Creations has brought this class to you with the intent of bringing you more fun ways to honor the bond between pets and their owners. This class is delivered in a simplistic and encouraging manner, great for those that have never painted as well as those that have. Lovejoy is a very gifted and positive instructor, she will guide you through not only the steps of painting your pet but also through the mental steps of self acceptance as you do something you have never done before. Trust; as Lovejoy walks you through both processes, (Check her yelp reviews) There is no right or wrong way to paint. Painting is like handwriting, everyone has their own style and with practice you will develop skills and a comfort level. Painting is highly therapeutic and healing. Many people in my classes have painted one of their pets that had passed; All stated how much better they felt after honoring their loved one. Family Fun (well behaved kids welcome)
