Event Description Join us for an unforgettable evening exploring the medium of photography with artist Penelope Umbrico. Ms. Umbrico’s work expands our understanding of photography through her use of photo-based installations, video and digital media works. She uses photo-sharing and consumer websites as an expansive archive, creating works of art that navigate between producers and consumers, local and global, while referencing the technologies that produce (and are produced by) these forces. Book signing immediately following. Medium is an artist-run 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to fostering awareness and understanding of innovative photography. We offer year round resources to connect photographers of all levels with educational opportunities across Southern California.
