Event Description |
The beginner level of the Historical Binding Sampler is the perfect way to experiment with multiple sewing styles in a single day. By sewing directly onto pre-marked heavyweight cardstock, we’ll explore a range of historical binding styles including single section unsupported sewings (tacket, blanket, overcast, lace) and multi-section supported sewings (link, loop, lap, pearl) on leather, tapes, and cords. Sewing cards are a forgiving way to learn and are a fantastic resource for deconstructing stitching as the front and back of each sewing style remains visible after the cards are completed.
