Event Description “Physiologically, man in the normal use of technology (or his variously extended body) is perpetually modified by it and in turn finds new ways of modifying his technology. Man becomes, as it were, the sex organs of the machine world, as the bee of the plant world, enabling it to fecundate and evolve ever new forms.” - Samuel Butler, Erewhon: Or, Over the Range, 1872 The technologies that connect information across the globe have become so vastly encompassing as to be difficult to see. These global networks have begun to obliterate boarders of all kinds including the boarders that constitute the self. In order to gain new perspective on some of these mediums of information I transform modern technological imagery into human scaled environments. These environments themselves become a medium for expressing the conflict of identity as the Self distorts, multiplies, and dissolves into the collective consciousness.

Event Description The Numisius Chapter of Alpha Rho Chi is hosting an Art show at NewSchool of Architecture and Design on March 3, 2017. Our goal is to hold an event to facilitate interaction between professional artists and Art & Architecture students from NSAD. Silent Auction Alpha Rho Chi is a non-profit student organization. Therefore, the art show is also intended to be a fundraiser for our organization. We are looking for artists who might be willing to donate art pieces of value between $30 and $300 for a silent auction during the art show. The profit from sales of artwork will be split 50/50 with the artist selling the work. If you are interested in donating artwork for the silent auction please contact Ashley Persad at Ashley.Persad@yahoo.com Art Gallery In addition, artists are encouraged to submit artwork to be viewed by students and the community in the gallery. Artwork will be exhibited for one evening on Friday, March 3, 2017. Artwork displayed in the gallery will be returned to the art
