Event Description This year the Art,Vintage,Treasure Encinitas Flea Market will be held at the Encinitas City Hall off of Vulcan Ave with parking in the lower lot and train station parking facilities. Please save the date Saturday July 28 from 10 to 3 pm. Money raised will go to support the Encinitas Friends of the Arts and their arts and culture projects including Dia de los Muertos. Event Description This in-depth selection of the artist’s expansive practice from 1990 to present will draw visitors into the magic, curiosity, alchemy, escapism, humor, and beauty of Fred Tomaselli’s visual language. This exhibition will explore how Tomaselli’s well-known recent works reflect back to his upbringing and formative years in Southern California in the 1970s and ’80s when he witnessed the simultaneous implosion of modernism and utopian ideals of the ’60s. Curated by Rhonda Gawthrop.
