| Event Description |
Using the symbolic meanings of colors to select your materials, you will be guided to complete a 16” mandala from design to grout in two days. Using glass gems, stained glass, mirrored glass, and ceramic tiles, you will become immersed in the symmetry and flow of this circular form as the creating becomes a form of meditation. The materials used are weatherproof which will allow you to hang your piece outside on a garden wall.
Marsha Rafter has a BFA in ceramics and a MA in Education and has been working with clay for forty years and mosaics for 14 years. Her studio is located in north Escondido and her work is in public and private collections across the US. Her website is www.MarshaRafter.com
Materials Fee Includes: Weatherproof substrate, all glass and glass gems, ceramic tiles, adhesive, grout, and a hanger. Bring your own tools if you have them – including nippers, glass cutter, tweezers, running pliers, and glass square. If you do not have them, they will be provided.
