Event Description

Join ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station for the biggest arts weekend of the year. In addition to the two day annual Artwalk @ Liberty Station, participate in the ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station’s unveiling of a new Installation at the Station by artist Miki Iwasaki and a live concert by Ben Powell and Nathan & Jessie. From 12:00-2:00pm at Ingram Plaza meet artist Miki Iwasaki who created one of the newest Installations at the Station, “Facetime,” a group of three wood and steel sculptures to symbolize the common need for shelter and conversation. Miki Iwasaki will be posted at the Mingei International Museum’s ArtWalk booth where you can participate in an art-making activity. From 3:00-6:00pm at North Promenade see (((amplified))) Concert headliner Nathan & Jessie, a Temecula based jazzy folk duo and concert opener Ben Powell whose shows are high energy and uplifting.

Event Description

Reception: August 10, 2019, 6:00 - 8:00 pm Clay Walker (1924-2008) found his niche in the contemporary art world, specializing in original graphics, limited edition prints and oil paintings. Yet his work has been displayed minimally since the late 1960s. Meyer Fine Art, Inc. has changed that! With each annual exhibition, the gallery unearths new pieces from the full range of the art genre in the Walker inventory. This new exhibition of Clay Walker's artwork, a retrospective of color, texture and creativity, includes prints, watercolors and oil paintings.
