Event Description An opening reception will be held on Friday, September 20, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the Athenaeum exhibits for September-October of 2019. The event is free and open to the public. Nikko Mueller’s “I’m OK, You’re OK” will be displayed in the Joseph Clayes III Gallery. In this exhibit, Nikko Mueller presents a new body of work exploring patterns, systems, and transformations through the formal language of color and geometric abstraction. Ellen Salk’s “Studio Practice” will be in the Rotunda Gallery. “Studio Practice” will exhibit the preparatory studio work which leads to the development of her newest series. Artists’ Books on the Color Wheel, selections from the Athenaeum’s Artists’ Books Collection, will be displayed in the North Reading Room. The works will be on view from September 21 through November 2, 2019. See the Athenaeum web site for more details and days and hours that the library is open.
