VAF 306 Performance Space, Visual Arts Facility /// Malik Gaines and Alexandro Segade are artists based in New York. With longtime collaborator Jade Gordon, they form the collective My Barbarian, which has shown performances, videos, and installations in museums, galleries, theaters, festivals, music venues and public spaces since 2000. Gaines is the author of the book "Black Performance on the Outskirts of the Left" (2017), and Segade is currently finishing a graphic novel, "The Context." |
