Event Description |
San Diego Art Institute, a regional contemporary art center in Balboa Park, will launch its 2018 exhibition programming with a dynamic multimedia installation and curated event series entitled “The Language of Things,” by bi-national artist Roberto Romero-Molino. Inspiring cross-cultural collaboration in the regional art community, this exhibition is a partnership between the San Diego Art Institute and the Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT).
A surreal landscape of electronic birdsong and Stonehenge-like arrangements of TV screens, “The Language of Things” is filled with sound and video that changes over time, so that every second during the exhibition period is a unique moment for the show and the spectator.
The exhibition will open with a reception on Saturday, January 20 and will follow with a robust programming schedule, including listening workshops with the artist, a coding seminar and live electroacoustic and instrumental concerts including San Diego’s Art of Élan. |
