Event Description Sparks Gallery is honored to announce its forthcoming exhibition, Under One Sky, a powerful celebration of Indigenous art from across the United States. This exhibition brings together contemporary works that honor the survival, resilience, and living traditions of Indigenous peoples, while reflecting the deep-rooted relationship between art, culture, and knowledge. Under One Sky creates a shared space where the beauty and diversity of Native American art serves as both a living vessel of cultural wisdom and a platform for meaningful social reflection. Event Description The community is invited to collaborate in a playful expressive arts experience by creating and inserting flowers, butterflies, mushrooms, birds, whimsical creatures, etc., to a shared Garden of Compassion. Together, we'll symbolically dig our roots and draw nourishment—cultivating beauty, self-compassion, presence, and belonging—to support healing, as well as personal and professional journeys of patients, practitioners, and care providers as artists. The Garden of Compassion will be showcased at National Symposium for Palliative Care at CSUSM in June 2026. Attendees will join in patients participating in Dr. Alessandra Colfi’s Expressive Arts program, fostering an integrated healing community rooted in compassion. The completed Garden of Compassion will be displayed during the Symposium and available as a photobooth—becoming a collective tapestry that honors our shared journey of healing.
