Event Description Indoor/Outdoor explores how the different environments of Sweden and Southern California inform the ways we use indoor and outdoor space. Featuring the work of Southern California artists from the Feminist Image Group (FIG) and Swedish artists from Krogen Amerika, the collaborative exhibition will be shown at the San Diego Art Institute (SDAI) in Balboa Park and the Athenaeum Art Center (AAC) in Logan Heights. The two interrelated exhibitions portray the physical and psychological aspects of interior and exterior spaces. By visiting the artwork displayed at both venues, similarities and differences between the cultures of Sweden and Southern California become apparent. The American based artists will show at the Athenaeum Art Center 1855 Julian Ave., San Diego, CA 92113 619-269-1981

Event Description Meyer Fine Art, Inc., one of San Diego’s most prestigious fine art galleries in Little Italy, presents Vintage and Contemporary Posters. This collection of rare 19th to 20th century original, first and second printings, featuring International and American posters, were produced by stone lithography, photo offset and silkscreen processes. The majority of the posters are by anonymous artists, but many well-known poster artists are also represented, including Villemot, Warhol, David Klein, Howard Koslow and Jean Carlu. The prominent poster themes of beverages, food, travel [an assortment of vintage airline posters], movies and sports are included in these vibrant advertising graphics. Posters long undervalued and neglected, are today increasingly appreciated and sought after by collectors. A renaissance for collecting these graphics has created a renewed look at this art form. Prices are based on rarity, condition and demand.
