Meyer Fine Art, Inc., one of San Diego’s most prestigious fine art galleries in Little Italy, presents Vintage and Contemporary Posters. This collection of rare 19th to 20th century original, first and second printings, featuring International and American posters, were produced by stone lithography, photo offset and silkscreen processes.
The majority of the posters are by anonymous artists, but many well-known poster artists are also represented, including Villemot, Warhol, David Klein, Howard Koslow and Jean Carlu. The prominent poster themes of beverages, food, travel [an assortment of vintage airline posters], movies and sports are included in these vibrant advertising graphics.
Posters long undervalued and neglected, are today increasingly appreciated and sought after by collectors. A renaissance for collecting these graphics has created a renewed look at this art form. Prices are based on rarity, condition and demand.
