Event Description Textile Art (virtual) with Yasmine Kasem Wednesday, 10am to 12pm (PDT) on May 27th, June 3rd and June 10th (2020) Cost : $ 40 (General Members) / $ 50 (Guests) Textile Art encompasses many processes and fibers that creates immersive and tactile art. In this workshop, you will learn 3 different processes to create textiles and designs using fibers including paper, fabric hybrids, resourcing natural dyes and printing, and creating unique imagery with fibrous textures. She works between Vancouver (unceded territories) and Toronto (Tkaronto) where she is currently Artistic Director of Images Festival. Her books are NASCAR (Blank Cheque, 2016) and CUTS OF THIN MEAT (Spare Room, 2015).
