The revolution begins August 3. Art rebels at The Studio Door are planning to sabotage The Studio Door’s carefully designed gallery plans by commandeering the Hillcrest art gallery. Prepare for an ambush of color and form as these creative insurgents step out from behind their studio walls to immerse you with provocative artworks. Grab your beret and join us for an unorthodox reception on Saturday, August 26 from 6 - 9 PM when art breaks free to battle between tradition and innovation. Resistance is futile. Pass it on! Event Description

Join us as two resident artists at Space 4 Art, C Fodoreanu and Linda Litteral, host book talks in the co-live space. C’s book, Ode to the Lake Sacalaia, explores the tension of self-discovery and identity, queer or not, and the in-between states of one’s self-awareness. It pays homage to younger selves searching for faith and ideals, and reconnects to what holds one true to oneself. Linda’s courageous memoir, Show and Tell: Healing From Trauma Through Art, shares the story of her abuse and its physical and psychological effects. It catalogs various healing modalities she has practiced through the decades, and details how, ultimately, the power of creating and sharing her art helped her actively begin her healing journey. During the break between talks, guests can mingle with the author-artists, snack, and have books signed.
