I started Jax Atelier in 2018, but I’ve been a professional artist for over 25 years. Since the very beginning, the dream has always been to have a physical space to share my creative world with everyone. Over the past 5 years I even began sketching what I imagined the shop would look like, complete with an adorable awning. Now that it’s real, I had to make a watercolor painting of the vision I manifested!
Things you will find in the shop that are created by me are: one-of-a-kind earrings, block printed textiles, journals, cards and prints, original paintings, and photography. I’ll also be carrying a handful of curated handmade goods by other talented makers, such as soaps, candles, and greeting cards. And for those who love a bit of nostalgia, I’ll have pieces from my beloved vintage collection available, including pottery, glassware, artwork, and other unique home goods.
My hope is that this shop brings a little joy to your day — that it feels like a warm hug, filled with creativity and inspiration. It may be a small space, but the intention is big.
The shop is located on Adams Ave. in the Normal Heights neighborhood in San Diego. The grand opening will be on Saturday, Nov. 15th from 11am - 6pm. (More details to come as we get closer!)
