Join OMA’s Free First Sundays for Art for All! Each month, OMA welcomes friends and neighbors on Free First Sundays to join in Art for All, our fun hands-on art-making experience led by artists and cultural partners from our community. Whether you’re new to art or have your own creative flow, Art for All is the time to let your imagination soar. Visit our current exhibitions to spark your creativity! Explore different art-making materials through creative projects at each session while learning from local and regional artists. Check back each month to see what we’re up to next! These informal drop-in workshops are open to all ages. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided free of charge, while supplies last. If you’re looking for fellowship but can’t make it in person to OMA, join our Virtual Art Share series from home or wherever you are with refreshments of your choice, and enjoy some conversation with fellow artists! Sculptors, painters, photographers, and artists of all disciplines are welcome. Take part in this conversation via a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Join us for a free community event to celebrate the launch of Tish McAllise Sjoberg's new book: "Dear Friends, My Mother is Dying." Tish returned to Ohio for the last weeks of her mother's life. With few close connections there, she reached back to her friends in California, writing to them daily through email to stay tethered and connected through this journey of letting go. They are letters, they are diary entries, they are extraordinary. "Dear Friends, My Mother is Dying" is the result of turning those original letters into a book — an unedited, raw, and deeply human account of loss and grief in real time. Unpolished by design, they are gems in their honesty. This is a rich read for anyone exploring what it means to be present to the dying and the grieving — and a doorway to open your heart and greet each day as if it were your last. Join Tish to celebrate her mother and the book she inspired. Books will be sold and signed.

The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Wild Wonders”, juried by award-winning artist, Roberta Dyer. The water-based media exhibition runs Nov 1-28,2026, at our Gallery in The Arts District Liberty Station. The free Opening Reception is Friday, Nov 6, 5-8 pm with over 95 ready-to-hang original paintings plus refreshments and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts.
