Event Description Write or Die is an immersive installation and performance including works that express the urgency of writing to the artist's survival. Through sculptures, interactive artworks, and live writing, the audience is awash in stories about all the things: racism, cultural isolation, addiction, and other related traumas, as well as asked to confront their own stories.

Event Description Virtual First Friday ARTS DISTRICT is back and coming to you across the globe on September 4. A lineup of talented arts and culture groups share their craft at this unique and authentic event for San Diego residents and beyond. Explore a variety of art galleries and exhibits like Canela Photography’s live dance photoshoot and the San Diego Watercolor Society’s “Lay it on Think” exhibition juried by award-winning artist Richard Glassman. Join in on a selection of live activities like San Diego Dance Theater’s performance which explores the coping strategies employed by transexual persons and illustrates the importance of mourning in the development of positive identity. Check out live kid-friendly fun including the San Diego Youth Symphony’s interactive demo introducing young children to the building blocks of music and ensemble playing with singing, movement, rhythm and hands-on instrument activities that families can enjoy together.
