Event Description One Day Workshop - 10 - 2 PM with 1/2 hour break

Image transfers offers a solution to incorporate line art, sketches and photographs to your art pieces. Transfers create awesome transparent layers that can be painted upon and altered with acrylic mixed media. Artist Patrick Brown will share his contemporary techniques and cost current series showcasing how he incorporates his daily sketches into complex, rich paintings.

If enough participants express interest, this workshop may spin off into a regular class in acrylics by artist Patrick N Brown.

Event Description Art Scene West Gallery is pleased to present over thirty new pop/surrealism paintings by San Diego artist Mikey Kettinger, with a gallery reception on Saturday, March 19, from 4-8pm. Mikey Kettinger’s work has been featured in museums, galleries, and public art exhibitions around the USA and internationally, but this will be his first formal gallery exhibition in San Diego. Mikey Kettinger is a conceptual pop artist (painting, interactive street art) who emphasizes the creation of experiences over objects, and inspiration over decoration. His life experiences have allowed him to travel and live in a wide range of locations, within a variety of cultures. Born in Miami in 1986, Mikey has also lived in Southern California, Chicago, North Carolina, Italia, Utah and Florida. His academic background includes credits from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Denver, Florida State University, and a Masters of Fine Art from Utah State University, where his area of emphasis
