We are thrilled to host multidisciplinary artist Shellie Zhang Reception!
She creates images, objects, and projects in a wide range of media to explore how integration, diversity, and assimilation are implemented and negotiated, and how manifestations of these ideas relate to lived experiences. Zhang is interested in how culture is learned and sustained, and how the objects and iconographies of culture are remembered and preserved.

| Event Description |
Kick off your winter holiday festivities at Space 4 Art! Resident Artist Sean Francis Conway will lead guests to experience his BOMBSHELL BOOM BOOM (!), a DIY, anti-venue marching sound collective that generates creators by exploding the distinction between artist and audience. Sean has facilitated this experience for students in our STEAM program so we’re excited to try it, too! There will be more performances by Chris Warren and others TBA.
The majority of our visual arts studios will be open! You can always find an interesting gift to purchase in our artists studios. Space 4 Art does not take any percent of sales—all proceeds go 100% to the artists.
We will have drinks available for a suggested donation. Be prepared to show your ID for alcoholic beverages. We are bringing back the taco truck TacoLandSD with their famous hand-made tortillas. TacoLand will be donating 20% of the evening’s proceeds to Space 4 Art! So, come hungry! |
