By combining drumming, healing, song and silence, this experiential retreat will assist in the practice of releasing the past and stepping into the new year fully present, as conduits of divine love, harmony, and beauty. Event Description Distinction Gallery and ArtHatch is pleased to announce our 12th Annual Art-A-Thon, a marathon of artistic creation to benefit the non-profit art center’s teen program. 16 artists from San Diego County will join together to create artwork for 24 straight hours. Completed artworks will be auctioned off starting at $100. Proceeds from art sales will be divided between the artists and ArtHatch to help support the centers free art education program for local teens. Participating artists this year are Kelly Vivanco and Peter Hillier, Victor Roman, Brady Willmott, Dinah Martin, Eusebio Travis Sevilla, Evgola, Jennifer Anichowski, Jennifer Barber, Lindy Ivey, Martita, Megan Darrough, Nicole Mendez Waszak, Olena Bugrimenko, Olga Tenyakova, and SonyArletta. Event Description The Escondido Art Association announces their show for the month of January at the Artists Gallery, 121 W. Grand Avenue, Escondido. The Theme for the show is Discovery and will be open to EAA members and non-members are encouraged to enter. The judge is the highly respected sculptor James E. Watts. Entry fees will apply: Members $20 1st entry, $5 ea. 2nd & 3rd; Non-members $30 1st entry, $5 ea. 2nd & 3rd, Students $10 1st entry, $5 ea. 2nd & 3rd. Take-in of art will be on Saturday, January 7th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Find more information at www.escondidoartassociation under FAQ. Discovery will run through Friday, February 3rd. All artwork must be picked up by Saturday, February 4th, between 11:00am-4:00pm.Thursday, January 12th, the public is invited to attend a free artist demonstration by Sculptor James E.
