Event Description |
Francisco Eme’s Treatise of Violence: The Invention of Us is a powerful and immersive multimedia experience featuring operatic singing, instrumental and electronic music, sound installations, field recordings, sculptures, and photographs. The performance explores legalized violent practices in our modern society created in the name of civilization, highlighting the violent ways in which capitalist, misogynist, racist, and imperialist systems function. It features performances and original compositions by Francisco Eme, who will be joined by vocalists Monica Camacho, Bonnie Lander, and Leslie Ann Leytham, and flutist Wilfrido Terrazas.
Presented in partnership with the Bread & Salt Gallery in Barrio Logan, Project [BLANK]’s Salty Series is an opportunity to showcase San Diego’s wealth of innovative artistic talent in a relaxed and social environment. |
