Event Description

Join Instructor Marsha Orr for an engaging afternoon creating your own stunning Fibonacci Basket. Interestingly, the “Fibonacci Sequence” was named after an 11th Century Italian mathematician and the pattern it creates is the inspiration for the main design element of this basket. This method produces a twill that spirals up the basket. It’s an easy technique to learn and the result is spectacular! Your completed 8x4” basket includes a matchstick rim which uses the spokes to create a gorgeous edge or opening of your basket.

Event Description

The Escondido Art Association announces their show for the month of June at the EAA Gallery.The Theme for the show is “Shelter.” EAA members and non-members are encouraged to enter. The judge is the highly respected artist, Andrea Rushing. Entry fees will apply: Members $20 1st entry, $5 ea. 2nd & 3rd; Non-members $30 1st entry, $5 ea. 2nd & 3rd, Students $10 1st entry, $5 ea. 2nd & 3rd. Take-in of art will be on Saturday, June 3rd from 11:00am – 4:00pm. “Shelter” will run through Friday, June 30th. All artwork must be picked up by Saturday, July 1st, between 11:00am-4:00pm. Thursday, June 8th, the public is invited to attend a free artist demonstration by artist, Andrea Rushing at the Fusion Restaurant, 201 East Grand Ave., Suite A in Escondido from 2pm-4pm. Saturday, June 10th, the Artist Gallery will host an Artist reception open to the public

Event Description

Enjoy a Saturday evening of visual art as Encinitas civic and local art galleries swings open their doors at Art Night Encinitas from 5:30-8:30pm. The event celebrates the city’s diverse visual art scene at participating locations and is free to the public. Enjoy live music and refreshments at several locations. Art Night Encinitas was conceived by the Commission for the Arts to bring focus to the civic art spaces and thriving visual art scene in Encinitas. This art open house benefits artists through the sale of their art and provides the public an opportunity to interact with artists and learn about the creative process.
