Join Instructor Helen Shafer Garcia to explore traditional and contemporary directions in Book Arts with instruction in book construction, printmaking, and mixed media techniques. Learn construction and techniques on a carousel accordion book, a watercolor circle book and a Woven Linen cloth book. You’ll work on 3 projects during this 6-week class, concentrating on concept and technique. Coptic stitch bindings are a beautiful addition to the open spine of a handmade book, and Helen will guide you as you explore Monotypes that will be created for the Woven Linen Book. |
