Encinitas Friends of the Arts (EFA), a leading non-profit art organization in North County is pleased to present Ukrainian Mosaic Orchestra Concert on Sunday November 12, 2023, 3:00-5:30 PM at the Oceanside Performing Art Center.
Hailed by the Los Angeles Times as, “Musically superb,” the orchestra of 40 talented musicians
plays traditional Eastern European folk instruments. They will present an exciting program of
music from Ukraine and around the world. The concert will also feature high-flying folk dancers
Larissa Nazarenko and Nikit Pilipko who blend athleticism with grace, along with guest singers –
baritones Salvador Padilla and Vadis Jansons and soprano Anna Belaya, and instrumentalists -
Grammy-award winner, Andriy Pidkivka. The orchestra’s professional directors and arrangers are Iryna Orlova and Anatoliy Mamalyga. Both are graduates of the famed Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music formerly known as the Kiev State (Tchaikovsky) Conservatory.
