Join Instructor Casey O’Connor for this unique mixed media collage class using ceramic decals and image transfers on ceramic dishware. Casey will discuss the origins of this technique as well as demonstrate the step-by-step process. You’ll be provided with two dishware items to serve as “blanks” to customize into artpieces to suit your style. Casey has traveled all over the globe collecting hundreds of multinational decals & transfers, and he’s excited to share his collection with his students. Once your collage is complete, Casey will fire your art after class, and they’ll be ready for pick up in a few days. These would make excellent holiday gifts or keepsakes for you to treasure!

Event Description

Meyer Fine Art, Inc., San Diego, Little Italy, presents Vintage and Contemporary Posters. This collection of rare, primarily 20th-21st century original, first and second printings, featuring International and American posters, was produced by stone lithography, photo offset and silkscreen processes. The majority of the posters are by well-known illustrative artists including Cappiello, Boccasille, Warhol, Klein, Koslow and Carlu; some are by anonymous artists. These graphics were created to be temporary advertising visuals, not numbered like original graphics today. The prominent poster themes of beverages, food, travel [an assortment of vintage airline posters], movies and sports are included in these vibrant advertising graphics. Posters long undervalued and neglected, are today increasingly appreciated, and sought after by collectors. A renaissance for collecting these graphics has created a renewed look at this art form. Prices based on rarity, condition, demand.
