Event Description This is a group exhibition hosted by GuruShots. GuruShots is a digital platform that gives photographers from around the world an opportunity to submit their work for a variety of thematic photo challenges every day. They seek to motivate, challenge, inspire, and empower photographers to expand their careers and exposure to a broader audience. Winning shots are chosen to be shown in GuruShots Exhibitions, held in major cities all over the world. With a remarkable collection of 80 printed works (and a wealth of digital winners) submitted by photographers spanning 30+ countries, this inclusive group show is not one to be missed. We invite you to join us for drinks and celebrations during our opening night, where you can witness incredible shots and meet like minded photographers.

Event Description Reflections is an art-making workshop series designed to serve adults 55 and older. In this new workshop series, participants will learn about the many facets of sculpture, tour artworks from MCASD’s collection and special exhibition, For Dear Life: Art, Medicine, and Disability, and draw inspiration from these works to complete four projects. Throughout this series, explore the diverse aspects of sculpture by examining works that vary in form, materials, and concept! Participants will: Explore different approaches to contemporary sculpture Understand the significance of various materials and how they are used Learn how to compose their own sculptural projects Each workshop will include an investigation of contemporary art-making techniques and materials. No prior art experience is required. Transportation will be provided if required. Registration gives participants access to the full series (eight days).
