Event Description |
Join assemblage artist Denise ((bonaimo)) Sarram for a deeper dive into her exhibition “Immigrate: Assimilate-Stories of Resilience.” Based on historical research of her Sicilian ancestors who immigrated to America around the turn of the 20th century, she will highlight a few artworks which address the narratives of the Ellis Island experience, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of NYC in 1915, and more. The presentation will include a tour of the exhibition and a brief Q and A with the artist.
