Rule 42: Stretched Language exploration in Visual Poetry, curated by Vallo Riberto is the first ever group exhibition in the San Diego community that features and celebrates the Visual Poetry genre including Concrete and Mathematical Poetry. Visual Poetry has been widely practiced dating back to the 19th Century, with modernist roots in DADA, Italian Futurism, and the Russian Constructivist.
This exhibition features seventeen local and international artists, who work in the visual, concrete, and mathematical poetry genre or text related artwork including audio visual narrative. Showing from Nov 6 to Dec 5 at Bonita Museum and Cultural Center. Opening Nov 6 4:30 to 7:30 with a special performance by Alex Caldiero, TRANSPERFORMANCE:
a convulsive, hilarious, verbal combustion.
