“Steve Gibson's work draws upon his stream of consciousness and personal experiences past and present. His painting and drawing can be described as a combination of pattern, form and surface manipulation alluding to ambiguous relationships and specific events. Abstraction, narration, and poetic references are interwoven throughout his painting and drawing.
Gibson has been included in over 100 group, invitational, and one-person exhibitions over his 50-year career. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, The Art Institute of Chicago, William Patterson University, and the City of Los Angeles permanent collection.”
