Event Description Dobrowner, a masterful black-and-white, fine-art photographer, captures otherworldly images of the Earth’s landscape. From infrared images of luminescent foliage to rockscapes beneath furious skies, Dobrowner’s work brings one to another sphere of existence. To view a Dobrowner photograph is to enter a dramatic realm filled with mystery, passion and eerie beauty. Dobrowner has exhibited his fine-art photography through galleries in California, Texas, Colorado, and Maryland, as well as overseas in Paris, France. His imagery has been included in many publications, including LensWork, Black & White magazine, PhotoArt, and Silvershotz. Dobrowner’s work has received several awards, including: first and second place for Nature by Prix de la Photographie, Paris (an organization that promotes photography in Paris, France); North American Nature Photography Association’s Fine Arts Award for Landscape; Lucie Awards/IPA (International Photography Awards), NYC, first place in Nature; and IPA Photographer of the Year, Landscape. The Ordover Gallery will also show glass sculpture by Dick Ditore, photographs by Richard Garrod and Robert Walter, and a selection of works by Gallery artists. Glass sculptor and San Diego native Dick Ditore is known for his organic style, using glass stringers and polishing techniques for surface texture and depth. Photographers Richard Garrod and Robert Walter will show a collaboration of images entitled Beyond the Object: Two Artists—Two Pathways—A Shared Vision. Garrod, a friend of Brett Weston and Wynn Bullock, and a dedicated student of Minor White and Ansel Adams, has taught numerous photography workshops in the Monterey, California area. Together, Garrod and Walter relate images of nature’s abstractions that transcend their varying methodologies.
