Join us for the first of our three-part film series and mixer inspired by the exhibition MASTERS OF MID-CENTURY MODERNISM – Evelyn and Jerome Ackerman. Arrive at 6 pm for a film-inspired cocktail, craft and exhibition viewing. Screenings of playful films from the 1950s and ‘60s that feature design and archetypal characters of the period will begin at 7 pm.
July 2nd: Rock Hudson and Doris Day star in the romantic comedy Pillow Talk (1959).
July 9th: James Coburn saves the world in one of Hollywood’s original “007” spoofs, Our Man Flint (1966).
July 16th: Peter Sellers mistakenly destroys The Party (1968).
