Basic Photography for Film & Digital Cameras with Instructor Tom Shjarback - 6 weeks / Have you ever wondered what shutter spee, aperture size, ISO settings, and depth-of-field all have to do with taking a picture? In this class you will learn how to crop an image, proper lighting, and how to capture what you see. Instruction includes weekly shooting assignments, class critiques, and discussions. RISKY BUSINESS! Draw Fast and Loose. This is an expressive drawing workshop. You get to invent the ways! You get to think like an eight-year-old and draw outside the lines. Experiment, do quick sketches, and try working with new materials like charcoal taped to a stick, graphite crayons, and mixing oil pastel with India ink. whEAThARvesT Fundraiser at Sea Rocket Bistro 3382 30th Street in North Park--- whEAThARvesT is an unexpected urban experience bringing culture into agriculture. Growing wheat along the business corridor and milling the grain into flour will happen in unexpected places. By bringing wheat to the street participants will have an increased awareness of what "growing local" entails. The culmination of the project will take place in the Art Produce Gallery. On exhibit will be artist made interactive harvesting equipment and documentation of the process. The equipment will consist of a portable seed separator/dining room table where participants will separate the grain and then grind into flour on hand powered grain mill.
