Explore the magical world of encaustic painting and discover a lost art that has intrigued painters for over 2000 years. Encaustic means "to heat or to burn," so heat is used at every level. During this workshop, you will learn the history of encaustic and the use of equipment and basic techniques such as photo transfer, collage, and incising. You will leave at the end of the day with many examples of your own encaustic art. All materials included.
