Two-day Painting Workshop with artist Slade Kaufman
Slade Kaufman is a very expressive artist from Chicago, who has a special talent for depicting the un-real and ephemeral. His large canvases are multi-layered, mural-like, mystical compositions, that bring about a surreal world of dreams. In this class he will be teaching the skill of painting without observation, using only the imagination, memories and occasional reference to visual material if desired. Slade will demonstrate his painting techniques and share with the artists participating in this workshop his approach of working with the imaginary subject, to inspire everyone in class to create a striking canvas depicting an interpretation of their own unique experiences. |
