Kathryn Kanjo, Chief Curator, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, will consider how even the most innovative of contemporary forms can be understood and described through the visual language of art history. Looking at works in the Museum's Collection, Kanjo will apply formal description, analyze subject matter, and infer meaning to comprehend better the artist's intent.
