Sir Richard Branson, a British business magnate, best known as the founder and chairman of the Virgin group of more than 400 companies, will be at MOPA on June 20! Come and join us for this special event as he will be promoting the screening of Breaking the Taboo, a documentary film about the war on drugs produced by his son Sam Branson.
Breaking the Taboo is narrated by Morgan Freeman (English version) & Gael Garcia Bernal (Spanish version), this groundbreaking new documentary uncovers the UN sanctioned war on drugs, charting its origins and its devastating impact on countries like the USA, Colombia and Russia. After the screening, there will be a 45 minute panel discussion addressing the issues covered in the documentary. This discussion will be led by Scott Lewis, CEO of Voice of San Diego, and will include Sir Richard Branson and Mayor Bob Filner, as well as others involved in the war on drugs. |
