Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) announces its inaugural summer art camp, Summer@ArtQuest, where art and fun meet! During a four day session, children will view artwork in OMA’s current and past exhibitions to learn about different styles of art, from representational to abstract, and will then participate in related hands-on art projects. Art education instructors will teach students how to use a variety of media such as painting, drawing, sculpture and graphic design while emphasizing the elements of art and the principles of design. Children will be involved in both individual and group projects and will produce their own art exhibit which parents and friends will be invited to view on the final day of each session.
Three sessions of Summer@ArtQuest will be held over the following weeks from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: June 25-28, July 9-12 and July 16-19. Summer@ArtQuest, is open to children 8-12 years of age, with a maximum of 20 students each session. Advanced reservation is required. |
