Enjoy frosty beer and hand-crafted art at Heights Tavern in Normal Heights. Craft & Canvas is a bi-monthly art event every 2nd and 4th Wednesday featuring local artists curated by Thumbprint Gallery. Heights Tavern is the best spot for the finest craft beers, craft cocktails and gourmet hamburgers. The show features up-and-coming and well-known San Diegan artists with a variety of unique styles. They create interesting works from street and graffiti to surreal and pop art.
ArtGymSD is a welcoming environment for artists who want to keep their artistic 'muscles' (skills) in shape by working on a regular basis in the company of other artists. Every week talented life drawing models are available from 6 to 9pm at ArtGymSD. Models do their own special nude and/or costumed poses. During this time, you are welcome to use the gallery floor as your own open studio. Food is available potluck-style.
